CHECKTOBUILD explores technologies in Asia that are redefining productivity in the construction industry
The technology company specialising in automated construction analysis using BIM and point clouds has embarked on a two-month innovation tour of Asia with the aim of identifying the technologies that are redefining productivity in the construction sector.
In a context where artificial intelligence, robotics and industrial automation are beginning to transform construction processes on a global scale, several Asian countries are deploying technological solutions that are already changing the way complex infrastructure and buildings are constructed.
Whilst much of the industry in the West continues to adopt these technologies gradually, some regions in Asia are experiencing a significant leap in operational efficiency thanks to the direct integration of data, automation and advanced on-site analysis systems.
With this scenario as a starting point, CHECKTOBUILD has launched a technology expedition led by its CEO, Alejandro Ruiz, which will spend two months visiting countries such as China, Taiwan, Indonesia and Singapore.
The aim of this initiative is to analyse first-hand how some of the world’s most advanced construction projects are being carried out and which technologies are enabling a radical improvement in the sector’s productivity.
“We are witnessing a moment of historic change in construction. Artificial intelligence, robotics and data analytics are boosting productivity in some markets. We want to understand how this transformation really works and bring that knowledge and those opportunities to the Western construction innovation ecosystem,” explains Alejandro Ruiz, CEO of CHECKTOBUILD.
Emerging technologies that are already transforming construction sites
During the tour, the CHECKTOBUILD team is identifying various technologies that are already being used on construction sites and which could have a significant impact on the sector’s development globally.
Among the advances observed, the following stand out: These developments demonstrate that productivity in construction can be significantly increased when data capture, automated analysis and decision-making are directly integrated into construction site workflows.
- High-precision 3D reconstruction systems that do not require specialised equipment, capable of generating digital models of the environment quickly and accessibly.
- New genetically modified materials designed to improve structural strength and biodegradability in construction processes.
- Immersive project management solutions, which allow construction sites to be monitored and coordinated from anywhere using advanced digital environments.
New technological partnerships with the Asian ecosystem
As a direct result of this expedition, CHECKTOBUILD has entered into strategic partnerships with several emerging technologies developed in Asia, expanding its global innovation ecosystem.
Among the solutions identified, the following stand out:
- Immersive 3D rooms requiring no special glasses or cameras, designed for the collaborative management of construction projects and the advanced review of models and site data.
- New-generation biodegradable plastics, with technical properties equivalent to current solutions, but without increased production costs.
- Satelite-based 3D reconstruction systems with centimetre-level accuracy, capable of generating advanced geospatial models without the need for traditional data capture campaigns.
- Advanced site access control technologies, specifically designed to adapt to the daily work of site workers and subcontractors, significantly reducing the operational costs associated with access management.
Strategic innovation for the construction of the future
This initiative forms part of a broader strategy by CHECKTOBUILD aimed at strengthening its international positioning in the field of innovation applied to construction.
Based on the lessons learnt during this process, the company plans to expand its technological offering by incorporating new capabilities in areas such as:
- Evolution of its core technology for automatic site analysis through comparison between BIM and point clouds, incorporating new data analysis and execution control capabilities.
- Integration of emerging technologies within its digital ecosystem, including automatic analysis of finishes via video and blockchain-based report validation systems.
- Development of ad-hoc technological innovation projects to resolve recurring issues in construction projects through advanced solutions.
- Innovation department outsourcing services for construction companies, facilitating technology scouting and the launch of innovation pilots.
- Customised integration of artificial intelligence into engineering, management and construction execution processes.
A new generation of innovation for the AECO sector
Through this initiative and a dissemination strategy focused on innovation, training and real-world examples of technological application on-site, CHECKTOBUILD aims to bring to the global sector the advancements that are already redefining the way construction projects are designed, executed and monitored.
The aim is to accelerate the adoption of technologies capable of increasing productivity, reducing errors and improving on-site execution control, thereby driving a new phase of digital transformation in the construction industry.
Where can you find us?
One of our objectives is to introduce, demonstrate and explain CHECKTOBUILD to professionals in the AECO sector interested in improving quality control and decision-making on site. That is why we actively participate in various events, conferences and professional gatherings where we share real-world experiences regarding the use of technologies such as BIM, point clouds and automated construction analysis.
In any case, our team is always available to help you understand how to convert reality data into objective information for on-site decision-making, enabling you to compare what has been built with what was designed and improve execution control.
