Manusa presents its new EI90 fire-rated airtight door: fire resistance for the healthcare sector
Our new EI90 automatic fire-rated airtight door is a product designed for the healthcare sector and laboratories, where fire protection is required without compromising on airtightness and safety. This model has obtained certification under the UNE-EN 1634-1 fire safety standard in joint tests on the operator, frame and door leaf.
Its design offers a combination of durability, fire resistance and structural integrity, as well as meeting the strict safety standards required in healthcare environments.
Fire-resistant, smoke-resistant and highly airtight
Our EI90 fire-rated airtight door, which retains the essential characteristics of the standard airtight door, has a high resistance to temperatures of up to 1,000 degrees caused by fire.
In tests, it achieved a fire resistance of up to 90 minutes with the operator side not exposed to fire and up to 60 minutes with the operator side exposed to fire.
In addition to its fire resistance, it has successfully passed smoke tests, demonstrating that it is capable of maintaining the necessary airtightness to prevent air leaks in emergency situations, maintaining visibility and air quality in escape routes, and preventing the spread of smoke up to 200 degrees, which in many cases can be toxic.
It has also obtained the highest classification in the two standards on air permeability, which means a high level of door tightness.
To optimise its performance, we have integrated the Visio+ airtight operator, designed to ensure high levels of airtightness. This allows our EI90 airtight fire door to be installed in environments where fire safety and airtightness are essential, such as operating theatres or corridors requiring compartmentalisation in a hospital.
Functional and customisable design
Our new EI90 automatic fire-rated airtight door is an essential component in fire protection in buildings and healthcare environments, safeguarding against the dangers of fire. It also maintains the aesthetic appearance of a conventional automatic airtight door.
Its side opening can be configured according to design requirements, and our design team can customise it by choosing from up to ten different colours for its high-pressure laminate (HPL) surface. It is also equipped with a stainless steel handle and finger pull, and a 450×450 mm flush-mounted peephole can be installed in the door leaf as an option.
