(Segovia). Under the slogan “Where application achieves excellence”, this event marked a milestone in the consolidation of CIMA+ as the leading forum for specialist applicators in Spain.
The aim of the meeting was to reinforce the continuity and purpose of the CIMA+ project, present the 2026 Agenda (featuring key events, training programmes and new value-added initiatives), promote collaborative learning, facilitate high-level networking, share progress, developments and business prospects, and foster a positive and close-knit atmosphere amongst the sector’s leading application companies.
During the opening session, Gonzalo Causin, Managing Director of Sika, shared market expectations for 2026, emphasising that Spain continues to outperform the European average and that the current climate presents opportunities for those committed to specialisation and differentiation. “Our country is demonstrating a distinctive strength within the European landscape, and this compels us to be prepared to lead growth through the expertise of CIMA+’s specialist applicators,” he stated. And at Sika, we want it to be an advantage for our customers too.”
CIMA+ Mindset
One of the highlights of the event was the presentation by Fernando Botella, founder and CEO of Think&Action, whose talk on the growth mindset left the audience with much food for thought. Botella highlighted the need to adopt what he defined as an “essential mindset”: the ability to focus on what is truly strategic and on what really matters and adds value in our day-to-day work as professionals, to challenge the status quo and to transform the way we tackle challenges. His message resonated directly with the CIMA+ philosophy and mindset, emphasising constant innovation, attitude as a competitive advantage, openness to change and shared growth, and the desire to grow together as a driving force for the future.
On the second day, Borja Moya, Marketing Director, presented CIMA+ 2026 as a forward-looking project structured around five pillars: excellence, differentiation, innovation, business and long-term vision. Among the initiatives announced, highlights include new specialised innovation conferences, exclusive training sessions, professional networking events, the CIMA+ News platform, the new edition of “Best Project 2025”, and the development of a digital tool for project references aimed at strengthening prescribing.
Sustainability as a core value of CIMA+
Sustainability took centre stage with the presentation by Haizea Magallón, from Sika’s Technical Department, who told attendees that “our sustainability is your advantage”. Magallón explained the company’s 2024–2028 strategy, focused on reducing emissions across Scopes 1, 2 and 3, and on optimising natural resources, which includes both responsible waste management and water efficiency. She also highlighted the development of solutions with a lower environmental footprint which, beyond the technical sphere, contribute to sustainable building certifications.
“Sustainability is becoming an increasingly decisive factor in the awarding of public and private contracts. Being supported by a company like Sika, which complies with regulations and places applicators at the heart of its strategy, anticipating regulatory changes, represents a real advantage for your business,” emphasised Magallón. He also highlighted the direct impact on safety and efficiency: “Fewer faults, less improvisation, less waste and greater protection for workers translate into lower costs and greater competitiveness.”
The event concluded with a networking session and a cultural visit that reinforced the project’s collaborative and inclusive nature. With this year’s edition, Sika consolidates CIMA+ as a strategic community that integrates business, innovation and sustainability, placing expert applicators at the heart of its growth vision for 2026 and beyond.
