Why do Argentina and Costa Rica trust BIMETICA for their BIM libraries?
Trust, quality and track record are values that are cultivated and demonstrated over time.
The recent official launches of the national BIM Libraries in Argentina and Costa Rica have brought the above values to fruition.
Both the Argentine Chamber of Construction (CAMARCO) and the Costa Rican Chamber of Construction have found in BIMETICA a trusted partner for their respective strategies to promote and digitise their construction industries in the field of BIM.
The corresponding official launches took place first at the BIM Argentina Library on 12 June 2025 at the CAMARCO office, with the event held both in person and online, and second at the BIM Costa Rica Library on 11 September 2025 at the Costa Rican Chamber office, with the event also held both in person and online.

These projects represent a milestone in their respective countries. The objective was, and still is, to offer high-quality, standardised BIM-digitised product content (BIM objects) for construction professionals. Based on this freely accessible digital content, professionals can use it in the specification or prescription of their works, thereby achieving a degree of confidence as it is endorsed by the corresponding Chambers of Construction.
The respective BIM libraries have been developed in accordance with the GDO-BIM standard, which is the most widely used standard for the development of BIM objects internationally. This has given the respective national libraries the possibility of standardising the structure of information and content to adapt to the technical conditions of each country.
The GDO-BIM standard is configured as a user guide that promotes technical growth for the development of BIM objects, levelling the playing field for all agents involved in the construction process. This is due to the proposed data structuring that it brings to the BIM construction sector.
Both BIM Object Libraries are provided in Revit® and IFC formats, although other project design formats may be added in accordance with the specialised demand for BIM projects in Argentina and Costa Rica.
Access to BIM files is free upon registration at Bimetica.com and can be downloaded directly from the BIMETICA Platform (for Argentina click here and for Costa Rica click here) or go directly to the official website of the BIM Argentina Library or the BIM Costa Rica Library.
The participation of manufacturers of construction products and materials is also encouraged through the corresponding BIM collaboration agreements between BIMETICA and the Chambers. In this way, a manufacturer or distributor of products that has its own BIM Library or wants to develop one can participate in the BIM Argentina Library or the BIM Costa Rica Library. In this case, manufacturers can contact BIM@bimetica.com and request information for both libraries.
At BIMETICA, with 15 years in the international BIM market, we are convinced that, in order to do things right in the world of BIM, it is essential to establish a quality-based strategy, avoiding the strategy of cheap BIM fashion, or fake likes or followers. At BIMETICA, we listen to professionals and prioritise their real and technical needs, in collaboration with manufacturers.
That is why we are proud and satisfied that the Costa Rican Chamber of Construction and the Argentine Chamber of Construction, two major institutions representing the industry in their countries and knowledgeable about its shortcomings and opportunities, trust BIMETICA.
Thank you very much and here’s to more!
